Bhopal, October 9, 2026: Explurger has signed a landmark three-year Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board to deploy NiVU AI across 100 tourism destinations in the state, bringing conversational artificial intelligence directly into the traveller experience.
Announced at MP Travel Mart 2026 in Bhopal, the partnership will introduce AI-powered visitor experiences across temples, forts, heritage landmarks, wildlife destinations and cultural attractions. Explurger has also been designated the Official AI & Social Media Partner of the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board for the programme.
The MoU was signed and exchanged by Jitin Bhatia, Founder and CEO of Explurger, in the presence of Dr. Mohan Yadav, Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh; Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi, Tourism Minister; Shri Ashok Barnwal, Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh; Dr. Ilayaraja T., Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board; and Dr. Abhay Arvind Bedekar, IAS, Additional Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, along with senior officials and dignitaries.
The programme will begin with 30 flagship destinations in its first year. These locations will be jointly finalised by Explurger and the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board within 90 days of signing, with the initiative expanding to 100 destinations over the three years.
Through QR-enabled NiVU AI touchpoints, visitors will be able to interact with an AI-powered travel companion through voice or text in 130 languages. Travellers can ask questions, discover destination histories and cultural stories, explore nearby attractions, find local experiences and uncover hidden gems.
Going beyond conventional information boards, NiVU AI aims to make destinations more interactive by allowing visitors to engage with information and explore places according to their interests. The technology is designed to help travellers discover more about each location while making destination information more accessible to a wider range of visitors.
The initiative will also establish an aggregated and anonymised tourism intelligence layer, generating insights into visitor interactions, questions, language preferences, interests and engagement patterns. These insights can help inform destination planning, visitor engagement strategies and future tourism development.
The Madhya Pradesh partnership builds on Explurger’s expanding presence in AI-powered tourism, following initiatives in Andhra Pradesh and Goa to introduce technology-enabled visitor experiences. The deployment marks a significant step in extending NiVU AI from individual destination touchpoints to a broader, state-wide tourism ecosystem.
“The future of tourism will not be defined by technology alone, but by how intelligently it connects people with places. With NiVU AI across 100 destinations, we are building that future in Madhya Pradesh — making every destination more interactive, accessible and discoverable,” said Jitin Bhatia, Founder and CEO of Explurger.
The initiative will also connect Madhya Pradesh with Explurger’s global community of 25+ million users across 75+ countries, creating another avenue for travellers in India and overseas to discover the state’s heritage, spirituality, wildlife and cultural experiences.
As artificial intelligence increasingly becomes part of the physical travel experience, the partnership aims to establish a more conversational, intelligent and connected approach to destination discovery. With NiVU AI, visitors will be able to move beyond simply reading about a place to actively asking questions, discovering stories, and exploring Madhya Pradesh more interactively.
